Gov. Rochas Okorocha Earmarks N100million To Reward People With Info On Armed Robbers And Kidnappers

If you provide security agencies in Imo state with info regarding hideouts of kidnappers and armed robbers, the government of Imo State will pay you N1million. If you return pistols, you will receive N50, 000 and if you return AK 47 rifle, you will be paid N200, 000.

The governor of Imo State Rochas Okorocha announced this yesterday at a stakeholder's meeting, saying that N100, 000 million will be deposited in a bank to start off this reward programme, which was created to reduce criminal activities in Imo state.
“I am assuring everybody that willful return of pistols and AK 47 rifle would attract N50,000 and N200,000 respectively. This measure was part of government’s efforts to stem the tempo of youith involvement in serious crimes,” the governor said.
Okorocha said he would deposit N100 million in a commercial bank to kick-start the reward programme, stressing that classified information would be thoroughly investigated and treated confidentially.
